of Civil and Aerospace Structures

This session creates a forum to address and discuss the recent advancements and the challenges still ahead on the applications of active/passive guided ultrasonic waves (GUWs) for the structural health monitoring of aerospace and civil structures. Authors are encouraged to submit papers topics that include but are not limited to:
  • Fundamental researches on linear / nonlinear guided wave propagation;
  • Signal processing and statistical recognition to enhance damage detection and structural prognosis;
  • Acoustic Emission in bridges, pipes, or aircrafts;
  • Sensors development for GUWs – based SHM;
  • Field implementation of GUW technology.
